The old saying "Another person's trash is another person's treasure" is so true!  Several months ago, my neighbor had this oil painting out for trash pick up.  Well, the fixer upper I am.....I knew I would have a use for it one day!

I bought this print from Hello Lucky in the Heights and incorporated the print with the frame.

I have it over my dresser which I refinished, too.  This is how I did the quick refinish job.

1.  Lightly buff the original frame with a light grade steel wool.

2.  Spray Kilz primer over the frame.  BTW, it is the best primer in the market, has great coverage.  You can purchase it at Sherwin Williams.

3.  I use Sherwin Williams "Colors To Go" paints all the time.  You can get a quart of any color for about $5.00.  Plus, they come in a semi-gloss finish.  If you do not want to use a poly-urethane to prevent yellowing or want to save time....the semi-gloss nature of the finish will protect the piece.  I used the color "Pure White" which I use on most of my projects.

4.  Then I installed the print from Hello Lucky and voile!  Looks great over my dresser!
